The repoussé course has the essential purpose to teach to participants, whether they are beginners or experts, the basic techniques of this ancient art .
Each of us have surely had the chance to admire in museums the ability with which old military kit or furnishings of everyday usage were decorated. Every single work, even if it expresses the peculiar skills of an artist, is based on some basic principles necessary for its realization.
These principles are what the course aims to teach and that is:
_ The transfer of a drawing on a sheet of metal (in this case copper)
_The creation of a figure in relief, through the use of appropriate hammers, chisels, gravers etc..
_The finishing and definition of bas-
_The correct use of apt supports such as platforms and sacks of sand of different sizes and shapes.
For this course, the teachers will be Roberto Giordani and Christine Habermann, that has learned this technique along with other metalworking ones from his father, Alfred.
The course will take place within a well-
The course will last for about 40 hours that will be sorted in a single period of “full immersion” with the teacher and the colleagues with whom students will be able to meet and exchange useful tips.
