 teacher: ROBERTO GIORDANI

The wrought iron course is addressed to all those who want to learn or improve their technique of metalworking, avoiding unnecessary loss of time, starting to build tools immediately usable and suitable for the job.

The unique method that Giordani has developed follows the criteria of professionalism and practicality acquired through years of experience and collaboration with talented teachers of the field such as: Angelo Bartolucci , Alfred Habermann and Claudio Botero.

Students will be expected to assemble tools for metalworking (hammer, thongs, chisels etc), learning the basic techniques such as:
_Metal’s heating methods
_Stretching and enlargement
_Tapering
_Hilling
_Hot drilling with shaped plugs
_Assembly of elements
At the end of the course the built tools will be property of the students and will become the inseparable companions of work necessary for the construction of other equipment or other more elaborate wrought iron works .

The course will take place within a well-equipped and spacious laboratory and all the tools and materials ( iron and steel ) , with the necessary equipment will be provided by the organizers.

The course will last for about 40 hours that can be sorted in the following two ways:
- A single period of “full immersion” with the teacher and other students.
- Or divided into weekend of prearranged duration.
